Two people have been arrested by the Awutu Bereku District Police Command in connection with the alleged murder and burning of a man believed to be in his late 30s at Awutu Kwei in the Central Region.

The incident occurred at Awutu Kwei, near Awutu Bosom-Abena in the Awutu Senya West District.

According to a police source, the two suspects allegedly killed the man before setting his body and motorbike ablaze.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged murder remain unclear, as it is yet to be established what may have triggered the incident or whether the deceased had any prior dispute with the suspects.

Following the incident, the body was retrieved and conveyed by the Awutu Bereku District Police Command to the Police Hospital Mortuary for preservation and further examination.

The two suspects are currently assisting the police with investigations as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and identify the motive for the alleged crime.
