The Ghana Meteorological Agency has predicted thunderstorms and rainfall in parts of Accra, the Ashanti Region, and several coastal and middle belt areas later today.
The agency forecasts mostly cloudy conditions in inland areas during the early morning, with mist expected over coastal, forested, and mountainous regions.
As the day progresses, sunny spells are likely across much of the country, giving way to localized thunderstorms or rainfall from late afternoon into the evening.
Areas expected to be affected include Aflao, Accra, Kasoa, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Axim, Ho, Koforidua, and Akim Oda. In the middle and transition zones, Goaso, Sunyani, and Techiman are also anticipated to experience similar weather.
In the Ashanti Region, thunderstorms are projected later in the afternoon in Kumasi and Obuasi. Slightly hazy conditions are expected to persist over the extreme northern parts of the country throughout the day.
Meanwhile, the state of the sea has been described as rough, prompting coastal residents—particularly fishermen and other marine operators—to exercise caution.
Residents in affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions, especially during stormy periods, to ensure their safety.
