Takoradi:15-year-old boy dies after being knocked down during night float
A 15-year-old basic school pupil, Emmanuel Quansah, has died after he was knocked down by a vehicle during a night float in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region.
The deceased, a resident of Mempeasem near Essikado, reportedly ran away from home on Saturday after his mother attempted to punish him following a quarrel with his sister.
Assembly Member for the area, Gabriel Mensah told Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson, the host of Connect FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show that Emmanuel later joined a group from Mpintsim who were on a float at about 11:30 PM.
He is said to have joined the group at Ngyiresia as they moved along the main road.

The driver of the vehicle was reportedly arrested by some members of the group and assaulted, while his vehicle was vandalised before he was handed over to the police.
