An Okada rider believed to be in his mid-30s named Guy Man has been burnt to death following a botched stealing operation at Awutu Kwame Kwei in the Awutu Senya West District of the central region.
He was killed by some unidentified persons at the outskirts of town on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
The suspect who plies his okada riding business at Awutu Bontrase, who’s also a farmer, is believed to have gone to steal goats at Awutu Kwame Kwei, but he failed to abscond after committing the act.
He was arrested by some residents who mercilessly beat him to a pulp. He and his motorcycle were subsequently torched by the mob beyond recognition.
The body of the suspect has been conveyed by the Awutu Bontrase police to the morgue, while investigations are ongoing.
No arrest has been made so far.
