In a heartwarming display of appreciation, student nurse Candis Aseidu surprised Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II, Akokofe Krontihene, on his birthday, March 18, 2025, at Oyerepa TV.

Candis, a student at Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College, had previously appeared on Promise Special on Promise TV and radio, hosted by Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II.

During the show, Candis shared why she worked as a driver’s mate and sold minerals on the street during her vacation.

“I have no one to support me in life, so I have to do it alone to create a better future. Being a mate and selling on the roadside is the only way to survive in my nursing education,” she explained.

Despite the challenges she faces, Candis still struggles to meet her needs but remains hopeful for the future.

The host’s kindness and support have had a significant impact on her life, helping her overcome financial struggles and gain recognition.

As a result of the interview, Candis has received sponsorships from her church and other individuals, assisting her in achieving her dream without the same old struggles.

During the surprise visit, Candis expressed her deepest appreciation to Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II.

“If it weren’t for Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II, I wouldn’t be where I am today. He has been a blessing to me and my family. I pray that God blesses him with a long life.”

Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II, visibly moved by the surprise, thanked Candis and her colleagues, emphasizing the importance of supporting others.

“Glory be to God. I didn’t expect this surprise on my birthday. I thank my beloved daughter Candis Aseidu for this kind gesture. Those in positions need to support one another without any ulterior motives, and God will bless us.”

This heartwarming encounter highlights the transformative power of kindness and mentorship. Let us do what we can to support others, and together we can achieve our goals.
