A third-year student at Accra College of Education was arrested on Sunday, August 11 after allegedly breaking into a fellow student’s room to steal a laptop.
The incident occurred while most students were at a program at the school’s auditorium.
EDHUB reported that, the suspect entered the room, unaware that a student was present and began scouring through their belongings before allegedly stealing a laptop.
The student quickly raised the alarm, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Upon searching the suspect’s bags, eight phones, several flash drives, and the stolen laptop were discovered.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Police for further investigation.
This incident adds to a series of thefts on campus, including the recent disappearance of eight laptops from the school’s ICT lab.
