Multiple award-winning artiste, Kuami Eugene has warned his lookalike to stop performing his songs since it might certainly not fetch him good omen.
The issue of look-alikes has become topical on social media after a group of young men who claim to be lookalikes of some celebrities formed an association and started granting media interviews as well as performing songs of their lookalike musicians.
Speaking in a recent interview on MX24 TV, the ‘I Feel Nice’ crooner stated that the issue of lookalikes is not a big deal but the extent to which they’re performing people’s songs on various stages is the problem. For this reason, the lookalikes (Kuami Eugene’s lookalike) must be extra careful about his actions since it will probably not end well with him.
The ‘Takeaway’ hitmaker disclosed that his fans in Fadama have consistently sought permission from him to deal with his lookalike but he (Kuami Eugene) has asked them to stop.
“I come from Fadama so they were like super this guy make we mafia am and I told them to allow him cos he’s just having fun but now they said we told you to allow us to mafia am you see that now he dey perform.
“I told them you guys should calm down so people don’t really like what’s going on and if you are enjoying it you don’t really see the negative aspect of it until the negative side comes in.
“By then you’ve done the worse so I’m just saying real quick calm down, whatever fun you’re getting, try to put a stop to it because it’ll probably not end well,” Kuami Eugene advised his lookalike.
