Sensational Ghanaian singer, Camidoh, born Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie has expressed his dissatisfaction over the government’s attempts to allegedly block all unregistered sim cards come July 31, 2022.
The ‘Sugarcane’ hitmaker in a post on his Facebook wall questioned why the government through the Ministry of Communication was stressing Ghanaians in this manner throughout the entire process.
Camidoh questioned why the government will want all the citizens who have mobile phones and sim cards to line up again and register them when the bio-data needed was recently provided through the registration for Ghana Card.
He plainly tells the government to stop playing with the citizens in this manner because times are really advanced now.
As it stands, the deadline for the registration of Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards using details of the Ghana Card is Sunday, July 31, 2022.
A statement dated March 22, 2022, signed and issued by the Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful said the extension of the deadline is to “ensure that every eligible SIM card is captured and we produce a credible database by the end of the exercise.”
