Kumawood actor and film producer Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has entered the heated debate surrounding Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah following backlash over a failed World Cup prediction involving Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars.
The controversy began after the founder of the Believers Worship Centre, popularly known as the Philadelphia Movement, confidently declared that Ghana would defeat Croatia in their World Cup encounter. However, the result on June 27, 2026, ended in a 2–1 defeat for the Black Stars, triggering widespread criticism and online ridicule directed at the preacher.
Reacting to the situation on social media, LilWin strongly defended the prophet and criticized those mocking him, especially religious figures who have also weighed in on the matter.
He said, “Those of you, especially the prophets speaking against Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah, are all hypocrites. You don’t know anything.”
The actor argued that the prophet should be appreciated for his public spiritual support of the national team rather than being condemned for the outcome of a single match.
He added, “Adom Kyei-Duah is the only one who prayed and prophesied for the Black Stars to qualify to the next stage. The rest of you were silent. Now you are using the Croatia issue to speak badly about him. Shut up.”
LilWin further questioned the silence of critics during Ghana’s build-up to the tournament, suggesting that many are only speaking out after the team’s defeat.
He continued, “What did any of you say about Ghana’s chances at the World Cup? Nothing!”
He concluded by warning critics to stop attacking the preacher, insisting that his spiritual declarations would eventually come to pass despite public doubt.
The actor’s comments have added fresh fuel to the ongoing national debate about prophetic involvement in football outcomes, with opinions sharply divided between critics who see such claims as irresponsible and supporters who view them as expressions of faith.
