Ghanaian hip life artist, Richard Kwasi Siaw Afrofi known on stage as Ex Doe has revealed that most artists don’t know the difference between ‘diss’ and battle songs as used by most rappers in the industry.
According to him, ‘Diss’ is the short form of ‘disrespect’ but most artists do not know so they misuse it.
He also explained that battling among artists is not the use of abusive words but creating meaningful punch lines which will help sell your talent to the world.
“Ghanaian artists are ignorant; most of them don’t know the difference between battling and dissing. They use it anyhow. Diss as being used by most foreign rappers is the short form of disrespect. Also battling is not about insulting or the use of abusive words, rather creative punch lines which indicates how talented you are. I don’t support the habit of beefing each other in the industry because it doesn’t show discipline.” Ex Doe stated in a recent interview.
