A supporting group for Alan Kyerematen within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) which is made up of 35 different groups have come together to organize a health walk in the Ashanti region dubbed “Aduru Wo So Health Walk “
The groups, which are widely known to be aligned with the Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, have planned a health walk on August 13th in the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi, to offer support for his intention to lead the party in the 2024 presidential elections.
Meanwhile, the national executives of the elephant party have issued a caution to the large aforementioned supporting groups to halt their health walk as they explain the move is against the code of ethics of the party which was issued last year.
Addressing the issue in an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast show hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel
the Party’s National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye, popularly referred to as Nana Bee, called on the groups to halt the said walk or face consequences afterwards.
Explaining further, he indicated that, the move is against the party’s code of ethics. When asked whether or not he heard about the other party’s endorsements for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, he replied that the fact that somebody erred doesn’t open the flood gate for others to follow suit.
“We are from one party and they are all my brothers, I’m calling on them to halt the health walk because it is against the code of ethics of NPP. If they continue with the Walk, there will be consequences “ He stated.
