Stonebwoy thanks London fans after historic BHIMFEST show

Ghanaian Afro-dancehall star Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has described his BHIMFESTIVAL performance in London as a “historic night” after a massive turnout and energetic reception from fans.

The award-winning musician took to social media to express his gratitude to the BHIM Nation following the concert, which featured explosive stage performances, pyrotechnics and an enthusiastic audience singing and dancing along to his music.

“London, BHIM Nation! Ghana. Every roar. Every chant. Every smile. True representation of something bigger than us. THANK YOU for the HISTORIC night. I’ll never forget you!” Stonebwoy posted.

The successful event further reinforces Stonebwoy’s growing influence in the international entertainment space and his ability to use music and live performances to connect Ghanaian audiences abroad with the country’s contemporary culture.

BHIMFESTIVAL has over the years become one of Stonebwoy’s major platforms for celebrating his music, brand and the wider BHIM Nation movement, with its London edition adding another significant chapter to the festival’s story.

The strong reception has also reignited conversations about the growing competition among Ghanaian artistes to stage successful international concerts, particularly following Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale’s, unsuccessful ShattaFest attempt.

While the two events are different in concept and execution, Stonebwoy’s London success is likely to fuel further debate over which of Ghana’s major music stars is currently doing more to deliver commercially successful international shows.

For Stonebwoy, however, the message after BHIMFESTIVAL remains simple: London showed up, BHIM Nation responded, and the “historic night” is one he says he will never forget.
