Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has proposed a way for young people to generate money.
Young people, according to the actor should save Ghc 1,000.00 each month in a cumulative susu scheme to assist them raise cash.
Dumelo mentioned in a tweet that has gotten a lot of attention that ten friends can get together and contribute Ghc 1,000 every month to give to one friend.
This continues until every one of your friends has received a huge sum payment of Ghc 9,000 per month.
He tweeted: “Get 10 of your friends. Contribute 1000gh each month. Each month, one person will collect 9,000. It’s a good form of savings( for those who receive last) and loans( for those who receive first). You can increase or decrease the capital though.”
All though, he shared his opinion but netizens have pounced on him because of the rate of youth unemployment in the country.

@kwabenagorman: What if it gets to my turn and my friends start giving excuses that they are broke ! They used the money for their wards school fees etc! What happens ?bad debt. ? Senior answer me please !
@blackdonn: John, I know your heart is in a good place, but many of our young folks don’t have that much money to spare let alone 9 months in a row. That is why I believe the idea of U-Start by the gov’t is a great idea. DM me sometime let’s brain-storm and see what we can do in a small way.
@TruthCrsader: What is the sense in this system? Absolutely doesn’t make any finance or economic sense. You are better off even saving the 1000gh with a finance house every month. You will get more money in interest with this approach rather than this top bottom or bottom top approach.
