Some regions to experience temporary power outages for maintenance work – ECG announces

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled maintenance activities across several regions on March 11 and 12, 2025. These maintenance works will result in temporary power outages in the affected areas.

Planned Power Outages & Affected Areas

Tuesday, March 11, 2025

  • Volta Region:

    • Tsito and surrounding areas will experience power interruptions from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Ashanti Region:

    • From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM: Darko, Bebu, Ampabame No.2, Trede, Sabin Akroform, and parts of Pakyi No.2.
    • From 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM: Atwima Agogo, Abuakwa, Mankranso, Kunsu, Sepaase, Nkawie, Afari, Abakomade, Kasapreko, Nerebehi, parts of Tanoso, Pokukrom, Seidi, Hiaw Besease, Atwima Koforidua, Ntensere, Tabre, Mpasaetia, Asempanaye, and nearby communities.

Wednesday, March 12, 2025

  • Greater Accra Region:

    • Power outages will occur from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Pokuase Pharmacy, Ayawaso, Nii Ayi, Odumase, Amanfrom, Nsakina, Agbogba, Pantang Royal, and surrounding areas.
  • Tema Region:

    • Areas including High Tension, Golf City, Community 17, Fafali, Cambodia, and HFC Estates will experience power cuts from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The ECG has assured customers that these maintenance activities are essential to improving electricity distribution and reliability. The company apologized for any inconvenience caused and advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to plan accordingly.
