Professor Charles Marfo, a renowned lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of digitalization in combating corruption.
The 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, has said he will fight corruption through digitization if elected as President.
According to Charles Marfo, the impression that digitization is the solution to every problem in the country is irritating.
During a panel discussion on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, the lecturer indicated that people are milking the country through digitalization.
“We are embracing digitalization more than corruption itself. Did you know that there are people exploiting this country through digitalization?” Prof. Marfo asked Kwesi Parker Wilson, host of the host.
