Veteran sound engineer and entertainment pundit Fred Kyei Mensah, widely known as Fredyma, has stirred conversation with his recent remarks about the gospel music industry.
Speaking during a panel discussion, the renowned producer expressed concern over what he described as dishonesty and negativity among some gospel artistes.
He boldly stated that, in his experience, certain individuals in the gospel scene can be more dangerous than their counterparts in the secular music space.
“I don’t trust some people in the Gospel music industry. They are more dangerous than those in the secular industry because the gospel space is very limited,” he stated.
Fredyma’s comments come in response to a broader conversation about spiritual attacks in the gospel music industry.
This topic sprang up after gospel singers Cwesi Oteng and Esther Smith shared their experiences of battling attacks from colleagues who had allegedly attempted to sabotage their careers and even end their lives.
