Soldier who assaulted Pharmacist and Woman in viral video arrested
A soldier with the Ghana Air Force, identified as Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1) Mensah Williams, has been arrested by military police for allegedly assaulting a pharmacist and a young woman at Burma Camp in Accra.
According to sources, the incident occurred earlier this week when WO1 Williams, who is attached to the Office of the Chief of Staff, physically attacked the victims inside a pharmacy within the camp premises.
A viral video circulating on social media shows the officer slapping the pharmacist and repeatedly striking a woman who attempted to record the altercation.
Military police personnel swiftly intervened and arrested the officer. He has since been handed over to the Cantonments Police Station for further investigation.

Although the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) are yet to issue an official statement, sources within the military indicate that disciplinary measures will be taken against the officer if the allegations are confirmed.
The incident has triggered public outrage and renewed calls for stricter enforcement of military discipline, with many urging the Armed Forces to uphold accountability and professionalism among its ranks.
