Renowned Ghanaian pastor, Nicholas Osei, also known as Prophet Kumchacha, has issued a warning to former Black Stars player Asamoah Gyan regarding his recent comments suggesting that one of the two major political parties in the country was responsible for the recent fire outbreak at Kantamanto.
In a video circulating on social media, Kumchacha expressed his disapproval of Gyan’s remarks, deeming them unnecessary and unfounded. He urged Gyan to apologize to the victims who suffered as a result of the tragic incident.
“Asamoah, shut up! Stop what you are doing. How can you come on social media in a singlet and make such utterances? How can you make politics out of this issue? There is no sense in what you said online,” he said.
Background:
On January 2, 2025, Asamoah Gyan took to his social media to suggest that the recent Kantamanto fire outbreak may have been politically motivated.
In a passionate outburst, Gyan suggested that the incident could have been orchestrated by either the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for political reasons.
Explaining the potential motives of the two main political parties, Gyan alleged that the NDC might have started the fire as part of a strategy to begin a new project in the area without directly displacing traders.
