The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Simon Osei Mensah, has strongly criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for their lacklustre performance in the region.
He pointed out that the NDC has failed to initiate any significant projects in Ashanti since 2009, which they can showcase as their achievements.
During an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, hosted by Kwesi Parker Willson on Monday, March 25, 2024, the minister emphasized that his party, the New Patriotic Party, has completed over 50 remarkable projects in the region. But the NDC, under the leadership of late Atta Mills and ex-president Mahama, has failed to even construct ten noteworthy projects.
“From January 7 2009 up to 6 January 2017, the NDC should give me one hospital they started from scratch, completed and commissioned. I need just one.”
“Again I’m challenging them to give me 10 signature or legacy projects they established and commissioned in Ashanti Region within their 8year period of reign.” He stated.
He said, the NPP has a lot of projects in the Ashanti Region and is therefore willing to show them to whoever is interested in finding the said valuable projects.
