The custody dispute involving Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye (RNAQ) has taken a more serious turn after his ex-wife, Joana Coffie, made new allegations in a court application regarding the welfare and supervision of their children.

In the filing, Joana raised concerns about what she describes as inadequate supervision when the children are in their father’s custody, alleging that responsibility is often handed over to a third party identified as Hajia4Reall.

According to the court documents, Joana Coffie claims that the respondent is frequently unavailable during custody periods, leaving the children under the care of another individual.

“The respondent is totally unavailable whenever he has custody of the children and consequently hands over the care and supervision of the children to a concubine, Hajia4Reall,” the statement read.

Joana also claimed that she once came across a video involving her daughter engaging in a dance trend, which she believes reflects the influence of the environment the children are exposed to while in their father’s care.

“I observed my children in the company of the said Mona Faiz Montrage aka Hajia4Real twerking on social media to the admiration of perverted predators, and I am deeply concerned for the moral welfare and safety of the children,” she stated.

She further alleged that the children’s online activity has become excessive, raising concerns about exposure to harmful online interactions.

“They have developed an excessive interest in social media and are constantly posting objectionable content… thereby exposing them to predators, active online grooming, and sexual exploitation,” the court filing further stated.

The court documents also referenced a specific incident involving Joana’s daughter, which she claims demonstrates the alleged behavioural influence. She further stated that the video was shared with the father, who reportedly acknowledged that the behaviour was inappropriate.

“My daughter, Ruphina, did a video of herself twerking for a boy in the Trassaco house a few weeks ago,” she alleged.

As part of her application, Joana Coffie is seeking changes to the current custody arrangement, including reduced access for the father and tighter supervision of the children’s environment. She is also requesting that the court place restrictions on the involvement of Hajia4Reall in matters relating to the children’s care and upbringing.

As proceedings continue, the custody dispute remains under public and legal scrutiny, with both parties expected to present further arguments in court.
