Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall crooner, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr widely known as Shatta Wale has opened up on his current relationship with Nigerians following his previous rants against their entertainment industry.
It would be recalled that during Shatta Wale’s #DTBConcert at the Accra Sports Stadium with his best buddy, Medikal, he launched attacks on the Nigerian music industry for holding back from supporting the Ghanaian music industry.
Shatta Wale intimated that Nigerian musicians have gained a lot of support and love from Ghanaians, yet they have refused to return the favour by supporting Ghanaian musicians with their numbers and fanbases.
This was meted with mixed reactions on social media with some Nigerians lambasting Shatta Wale over his insensitive rants. He was also engaged in a social media banter with Burna Boy over what most Nigerians would describe as false claims.
Speaking in a recent interview on Hitz FM, Shatta Wale stated that he is not afraid to go to Nigeria even though he has once descended on them.
He said that he mingles with Nigerians whenever he travels outside the country and they always show him love wherever they see him in some Nigerian restaurants in the States.
