“Shatta Wale is a no-nonsense guy” – DJ Vyrusky explains why people leave his camp
Ghanaian disc jockey DJ Vyrusky has offered insight into why some individuals who have worked with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale eventually move on from his team.
According to DJ Vyrusky, whose real name is Kofi Amoako, the frequent changes within Shatta Wale’s camp should not be viewed as unusual, explaining that professional relationships naturally evolve over time.
He described Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., as a highly disciplined person with strong principles who demands commitment and excellence from those around him.
“I always tell people that Shatta Wale is a no-nonsense guy. People come and work with Shatta and they leave. It’s normal, but I don’t know why people make it a big deal because you, the one complaining, used to work at Company A and now you’re in Company B, but you have a problem with the fact that someone works with Shatta and they stopped working,” he said.
The award-winning DJ explained that the dancehall star has a clear vision for his projects and expects his team members to follow his preferred approach when executing ideas.
“Shatta wants things to be done his way. Sometimes, you think you want to do your things in a way, but no, he would want to do it how he wants it,” he stated.
DJ Vyrusky further praised Shatta Wale’s dedication to his craft, describing him as one of the most hardworking and organised artistes in Ghana’s music industry.
“Everything about him is discipline and principles. When it comes to work, he’s so organised and very disciplined. How does he come up with six songs a day?” he added.
The comments come amid long-standing public discussions about the number of people who have worked with and later separated from Shatta Wale’s camp. DJ Vyrusky’s remarks suggest that such departures may be linked more to differences in working styles rather than personal conflicts.
