“Sell your cars and invest in yourself” — Kwaw Kese fires at Shatta Wale Over Investor Plea
Popular Ghanaian hiplife and hip-pop artist Emmanuel Kofi Botwe has responded to reggae-dancehall and Afrobeat star Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. after the dancehall artiste publicly declared that he needs a serious investor to support his music career.
Shatta Wale posted on his X page that he now needs a strong investor because he can no longer finance his music career alone. According to him, if no investor steps in, he may quit music and focus entirely on his other businesses.
“Where I have gotten with my career now, I think I need a serious investor on board because I can’t do this alone. Otherwise, I will have to stop music and concentrate on my other businesses, which will be my best decision,” he wrote.
Reacting to the post, Kwaw Kese stated that quitting music should not be an option for Shatta Wale. He suggested that the dancehall artiste could sell some of his luxury assets, including cars, to reinvest in his career.
Kwaw Kese wrote: “My son, sell one of your cars and invest in yourself. Or come make I give you some acres of land to farm.”
The exchange has sparked reactions on social media, with many users arguing that Shatta Wale’s lavish lifestyle may discourage potential investors from supporting his music career.
The comments have also fueled speculation about a possible beef between the two artistes in the coming days.
