“Sarkodie beats Dee Money as Ghana’s most fashionable artiste” – Oseikrom Sikani

Ghanaian musician Osei Krom Sikani, popularly known as Oseikrom Sikani, has weighed in on the long-running debate over who has the best fashion sense between award-winning rapper Michael Owusu Addo (Sarkodie) and rapper Justice Amoa (Dee Money).

The discussion over the pair’s fashion credentials has remained popular among music fans, with many often praising both artistes for their luxury outfits and designer brands. However, Oseikrom Sikani believes Sarkodie stands above his colleague when it comes to consistently looking stylish.

Speaking during an interview, the rapper said he admired Dee Money’s fashion while he was in school but admitted he has never met him in person since graduating about seven years ago. Because of that, he said he can only judge Dee Money based on what is shared on social media, unlike Sarkodie, whose fashion he has witnessed firsthand.

“This is easy. Between Sarkodie and Dee Money, I would choose King Sark. When I was in school, I used to admire Dee Money, but after completing school about seven years ago, I have never come across him in person. I have come to realise that Dee Money is more of a ‘picture artiste’ who focuses on dressing up and taking photos for social media. But with Sarkodie, whenever you meet him in town, he is always well-dressed and stylish,” he said.

Oseikrom Sikani also singled out Ova Wise as one of the few personalities in Ghana’s creative industry whose fashion standards he believes match Sarkodie’s.

“The only person I can compare Sarkodie to is Ova Wise. Every single day you meet these people, they are always fashionably dressed,” he stated.

He stressed that he prefers to assess a person’s fashion sense through real-life encounters rather than social media appearances, insisting that his opinion of Dee Money is limited because they have never met. His remarks are likely to reignite discussions among fans over who truly deserves the title of Ghana’s most fashionable artiste.
