Mr Sampson Kofi Anokye, the branch manager of the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) at Asafo in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region has sadly passed away.
His sudden demise occurred at his residence at Esreso Adagya last Wednesday, thus Nkrunah’s Memorial Day, 21st September 2022.
The son of the deceased John Kwame Adjei, who spoke to this portal narrated that, his father never got sick, he died a peaceful death.
According to him, his father (Asafo GCB Branch Manager) returned home on Tuesday after his normal work schedule.
However, he died on Wednesday dawn. They discovered his death in the early hours of the day after they had gone to check on him in his room.
“My father came home on Tuesday evening after his normal schedule.
I went to his room around 10 PM to pick up some rice, but he was deeply asleep and snoring so I didn’t bother to worry him.
Early in the morning, we went to his room and he was dead.
He wasn’t sick.
My dad died a peaceful death because he didn’t struggle.” John Kwame Adjei told Oyerepa Online.
The late Mr Anokye’s one-week observation would be held on October 9, 2022, at Nkawie-Toase.
But the Esreso-Adagya Roman Catholic Church is holding a memorial service this morning for him.
May his soul rest in peace!!!
