The immediate past District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district, Barikisu Losina, has reportedly been involved in an accident.
The accident according to reports by Accra-based Citi FM occurred near Guripe on the Sawla-Damongo road on Saturday morning.
Madam Losina was travelling with her child and a driver when the incident happened.
The cause is however yet to be established.
She is said to be receiving treatment with the other passengers at St. Anne’s Hospital in Damongo.
Madam Losina and 23 other MMDCEs had their appointments revoked by President Akufo-Addo over reasons which remains unknown.
Akufo-Addo subsequently announced the nomination of 26 others as replacements.
The President noted that, his decision was in accordance with Article 243 (3) b of the Constitution and Section 20 (3) (b) of the Local Government Act, 2014, (Act 936).
