“Rihanna’s wealth doesn’t intimidate me; she earned it, I’m proud of her” — ASAP Rocky

American rapper Rakim Mayers, popularly known as ASAP Rocky, has revealed that Robyn Rihanna Fenty, professionally known as Rihanna, becoming one of the world’s wealthiest entertainers has never affected his confidence or sense of identity.

Speaking on the BET Digital podcast, ASAP Rocky said he believes a woman’s achievements should be celebrated rather than viewed as a challenge to her partner. He explained that both he and Rihanna have built their careers independently, making their successes personal accomplishments.

“My woman got billions. I got multi-millions. There’s nothing that her success has to do with mine. I’ve done what I’ve done for myself and I’m proud of what I did for myself. There’s nothing that another n** can say to me, especially with less money or less anything, to make me feel insecure or less proud about my woman being successful,” he said.

The rapper questioned why some people struggle to accept a successful partner, insisting that Rihanna’s achievements are a reflection of her hard work and not something that diminishes him.

“The f*** sense does that make? What part of the game is that? I’m proud of that woman. She did that. That ain’t got nothing to do with me,” he added.

ASAP Rocky also addressed a viral moment from one of his performances where he jokingly suggested he would have behaved differently if he was not in a relationship. He clarified that the comment was simply part of introducing a song and was not meant literally.

“No, that was me prefacing the song,” he explained.

ASAP Rocky and Rihanna, who have been together for several years and share children, remain one of the most followed celebrity couples globally. The pair have often spoken publicly about supporting each other’s careers while maintaining their individual identities in the entertainment industry.
