Mr George Boakye, the Ahafo Regional Minister, has urged landlords in the region to reduce rent fees, especially for newly employed workers.
He made this statement during a meeting with chiefs and landlords in Goaso.
According to him, workers posted to the region are valuable assets and the region cannot afford to lose them due to high rent fees.
He stated, “As we all know, the people of Ahafo have worked so hard for the creation of the region up to the level it can’t afford to lose the workers to a different region due to the high cost of the rent.”
He called on all landlords and landladies to reconsider the cost of rent as soon as possible.
