The Administrator for Goaso Municipal Hospital in the Ahafo Region, Mr. Sampson Namiak is appealing to the government, institutions, corporate entities and individuals to help with cash or provide roofing woods to facilitate the construction of doctors quarters.
Mr. Namiak in an interview with Oyerepa Online said the hospital caters for larger population but the doctor to patients ratio is very low due to accommodation. To ease this burden, in 2019 they did community durbar which they used it as an instrument to raise funds for the construction of doctors apartment.
He said they have been able to construct a four bedroom apartment which has reached the lentil stage and a philanthropist has pledged to buy them roofing sheets so it has left with the woods.
He said the roofing woods is estimated to cost 20,000 Ghana cedis but the hospital doesn’t have the requisite funds and due to that the project has come to a halt.
He is therefore appealing to government and the general public to help them to complete the project and this will help them get more doctors to work at the hospital.
