Prophetess Vida Osei Mensah, also known as “Mama Yee,” has demonstrated her commitment to improving healthcare delivery by spearheading the renovation of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’s Annex Mother and Bay Unit (MBU).
The project, which began last year, was completed and handed over to the MBU last Wednesday.
A total of GHc300,000 was invested in this much-needed renovation.
In addition to the renovation project, Prophetess Vida Osei Mensah generously donated GHc10,000 to support the ongoing operations at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
Speaking to the media, she emphasized the importance of maintaining and improving facilities like KATH for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
She also echoed the call of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for public support in renovating the older blocks at the hospital.
Adwoa Pokuaa Boakye Yiadom, the Acting Director for KATH’s MBU, commended Prophetess Vida for her generosity and dedication to the hospital.
The MBU Acting director took the opportunity to appeal to individuals and stakeholders to contribute healing equipment to the MBU, intending to reduce infant mortality rates.
Together, with the support of the community, we can continue to improve and sustain the vital services provided by KATH.
