President John Dramani Mahama has nominated key individuals for appointment as District Chief Executives (DCEs), pending approval from the respective assemblies.
The nominations align with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
A statement dated Wednesday, March 26, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, announced the nominations.
The first batch includes representatives from eight districts across various regions, including Volta, Oti, Bono East, Ahafo, Savannah, Bono, Western North, and North East.
