President-elect John Dramani Mahama has appointed a team of experienced individuals to oversee the transition of power following his victory in the 2024 presidential election.
The appointments were made in line with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (ACT 845), which mandates the establishment of a Transition Team to facilitate a smooth handover of political power from the outgoing administration.
The announcement was made through a press release signed by Sammy Gyamfi Esq., a spokesperson for the President-elect.
The newly appointed Transition Team will collaborate closely with representatives from the outgoing government to ensure a seamless transition of leadership and the effective continuity of governance.
The team comprises individuals with significant experience in various sectors such as finance, governance, and public administration.
The following individuals have been appointed to the 2024 Transition Team:

- Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia – Member
- Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey – Member
- Dr. Callistus Mahama – Member/Secretary to the Transition Team
- Dr. Valerie Sawyer – Member
- Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi – Member
- Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson – Member
- Hon. Mahama Ayariga – Member
- Hon. Goosie Tanoh – Member
- Dr. Edward Omane Boamah – Member
In addition to the Transition Team, President-elect Mahama has also nominated Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho as a member of the Transitional Advisory Council, tasked with offering guidance and support during the transition period.
