Joseph Yamin, National Organizer of NDC has declared that his party would not spare Members of Parliament (MPs) who violated the party’s position and voted for the NPP appointees in Parliament last Friday.
The MPs on Friday had a secret vote to approve six ministerial nominees by President Akuffo Addo.
It is alleged that some NDC MPs voted for the NPP appointees and this has generated strong acrimony within the party.
According to Yamin, any NDC MP who has betrayed the party’s position will have to face the wrath of the party.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Yaw Mensah Joel on Oyerepa Breakfast Show, Joseph Yamin said that the party will deal with any MPs who voted to approve the ministerial nominees.
He disclosed that the behaviour of the MPs is against the party’s directives and policies. Adding that the party’s decision and position is bigger than any decision taken by members of the party. Consequently, NDC will not spare anyone who has betrayed the party.
“The party is bigger than anybody and the party will have to decide if you will remain in position or not ….” he said.
He, however, cautioned all party members to always put the party’s interests first in all matters.
