The National Chairman of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Nana Ofori Owusu, is accusing the Nana Akufo-Addo-led administration of exclusively employing party supporters and sympathizers in various government institutions across the country.
During a press briefing held at the Ghana International Press Centre on February 6, the chairman expressed his concern that the NPP government’s attitude has hindered the chances of professionals and objective individuals securing jobs in today’s society.
According to him, under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration, one must possess a party card or have connections with a leadership position in the ruling party to be recruited into the security sector or receive a job contract.
Nana Ofori Owusu believes that the rule of law, once a cornerstone of the nation, is now crumbling under the weight of executive overreach.
The PPP strongly believes that the criteria is a biased approach which undermines professionalism and fairness in public institutions.
