Popular journalist of Oyerepa FM fame, Maame Akosua Nhyiraba has donated items to the Kwadaso-Edwenease Rehabilitation Center in the Ashanti Region.
The move is part of the journalist’s birthday celebration present for the center.
She donated items such as toilet rolls, soaps, biscuits, washing powders, bags of sachet water, toothpaste among others.
Speaking to Nhyiraba in an interview she said, “the Lord has given me another year, so I saw it necessary to donate the items to the special disabilities.
She however urged the general public to make it a responsibility to donate to the center.
Madam Rita Manu, House Mistress and teacher of the Edwenease Rehabilitation Center who received the items on behalf of the orphanage home expressed sincere gratitude to Nhyiraba for the kind gesture.
She revealed that, the special children are on vacation due to shortage of food. The center will be opened in September if it gets enough food to cater for them.
She however pleaded with the public to as a matter of concern donate to the home to be able to cater for the over 150 special children.
