The National Peace Council is urging Ghanaians, particularly politicians, to refrain from indulging in religious politics.
This appeal follows an incident where Sam Nartey George, the Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, labeled Dr. Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP, as a “religious prostitute.”
The National Peace Council emphasizes the importance of maintaining a respectful and inclusive political environment, free from derogatory language and divisive tactics.
According to the NPC, it is crucial for politicians to focus on addressing the nation’s pressing issues rather than resorting to personal attacks or exploiting religious sentiments for political gain.
