Nero X, born Joseph Nkrumah Buabeng, has stated unequivocally that he does not intend to use his new song for political purposes.
In an interview with Property Radio in Cape Coast, the singer who recently dropped ‘Umofiaconomy’ disclosed that there is a need to speak out against ills in the political space.
“It is not as if I’m doing politics with my new song but in one way or another politicians are those who govern us,” Nero X told Amansan Krakye via Showbiz on Property.
He continued “So sometimes we are under their care so once they control us in one or the other we are a bit politicians so we need to also speak out a little bit”.
According to the Takoradi-born musician, there is no need for people to be timid but criticisms must be constructive, however, he’s against politics of insults and vilification.
“It’s not always that we have to be timid but what I detest is politics of insults and vilification because when you are critiquing you need to be constructive,” he said.
