The Ghana Police Service, under the National Elections Security Task Force (NESTF), has successfully recovered a stolen Nissan pickup vehicle belonging to Ursula Owusu Ekuful, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West constituency.
This breakthrough was made possible by the police’s efforts to curb post-election disturbances.
According to ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Head of Public Affairs Directorate for Ghana Police Service, the recovery is part of a larger initiative to maintain law and order during the post-election phase.
Over the past 24 hours, the police have arrested 17 more individuals, bringing the total number of suspects arrested to 123.
The police are still on the hunt for individuals responsible for vandalizing police stations in Techiman and Wenchi, located in the Bono East and Bono regions, respectively.
ACP Ansah-Akrofi emphasized that the police service will not relent until all perpetrators are brought to justice.
The National Election Security Task Force (NESTF) patrols and personnel deployments continue nationwide to maintain law and order. The efforts aim to restore peace and stability in the country following the recent elections.
