The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested Nii Baah Afful, the man seen in a widely circulated video assaulting a young woman who was carrying a baby.
In a statement issued on Monday, March 24, 2025, the Police confirmed that the suspect is in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
The disturbing footage shows Nii Baah repeatedly striking the woman with a stick after she allegedly informed him that she had found a new partner—describing him as “more handsome and responsible”—and no longer wished to be with Afful.
Authorities have assured the public that the case will be treated with urgency, and the suspect will be arraigned before court to face justice.
