A worker of Oyerepa TV in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital went into a bad ordeal at the hands of armed robbers on his way to work.
The incident happened at Patasi, a suburb of Kumasi on Tuesday 24th May 2022 at 5 AM.
Narrating the sad incident to Oyerepa Online, the victim, Annas Tettehson at MCR stated that, he board a Taxi together with a lady who was also going to work at 5 AM.
He said, 2 persons plus the driver were already on board.
According to him, immediately after they board the taxi, one of the robbers at the front seat began to roll up the glass. The lady who had been robbed some weeks ago around the area immediately sensed that the guys were armed robbers, therefore, she quickly moved out of the car whiles in motion (top speed).
The victim said the armed robbers then removed a gun, knife and attacked him.
“The robbers removed a knife and pointed a gun at me and ordered me to bring my money and phones. They forced me to give them my MOMO Pincode as well. They took away 3 mobile phones, my wallet containing some amount of money.”
Annas further explained that the robbers stabbed him in his right ear and he became unconscious. They tied his hands, blindfolded him and dropped him in a bush at Kwadaso.
“They tied my hands, blindfolded me and threw me at a bush near a house at Kwadaso.” He stated.
Anas is currently responding to treatment.
