Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, is set to deliver the keynote address at the inaugural Black Heritage Network Symposium, hosted by Citibank UK.
According to a press statement shared by Manhyia Palace, the event is organized in collaboration with Citi London’s Black Heritage Network and the Asante Professionals Club UK under the theme “Celebrating Asante Legacy, Excellence and Partnerships,” coincides with Otumfuo’s silver jubilee anniversary.
The event will take place at the Citigroup UK Head Office in London.
“Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural Black Heritage Network Symposium, hosted by Citibank UK, in collaboration with Citi London’s Black Heritage Network and the Asante Professionals Club UK.
“The symposium, titled Celebrating Asante Legacy, Excellence and Partnerships, marks Otumfuo’s silver jubilee anniversary and will take place at the Citigroup UK Head Office in Canary Wharf, London.
“The keynote address, ‘The Asante Kingdom: Historical Legacy and Its Impact on Modern Economic Development,’ will highlight the rich history of the Asante Kingdom and explore how its legacy continues to influence contemporary economic strategies and partnerships,” part of the statement said.
The statement added, “Distinguished guests will include former President of Ghana, His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, who will join Citi Group Chief Client Officer, David Livingstone, and other notable dignitaries, scholars, and business leaders to honour the Asantehene’s contributions and vision for sustainable development.
“Their participation underscores the importance of the Asante Kingdom’s enduring legacy in the socio-economic fabric of Ghana.”
