The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has reported major financial recoveries under its ongoing anti-corruption efforts, according to its Half-Yearly Report for December 2025.

The report indicates that the OSP successfully retrieved significant sums of money and seized both movable and immovable assets connected to corruption and related offences.

Among the key recoveries, the Office secured US$2 million on behalf of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF).

In addition, a total of GH₵8,518,233 was recovered as part of investigations into the diversion of petroleum products.

The OSP noted that the recoveries underscore its statutory mandate to trace, restrain, confiscate and recover proceeds derived from corruption and corruption-related crimes.

The Office further stressed that these actions are aimed at strengthening transparency, safeguarding public resources and enhancing accountability in public financial management.
