A fatal road accident in Abofour, a community in the Offinso South Municipality of Ghana’s Ashanti Region, claimed one life and left several injured.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning between 6:15 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. and involved a passenger bus with registration number GN-4966-14 and a tipper truck.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that the collision was severe, resulting in multiple fatalities.
The deceased have been transported to the mortuary at Offinso St. Patrick’s Hospital, while several others who sustained injuries are receiving medical treatment at nearby health facilities.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the Abofour community, with residents expressing deep sorrow and concern over the increasing number of accidents on the region’s roads.
