One person has died following a road traffic accident involving a Toyota Voxy and a stationary MAN Diesel truck at Teacher Mantey on the Accra–Kumasi Highway on Saturday, March 7.
The Ghana National Fire Service reported on Facebook on Sunday, March 8, that a six-member rescue team, led by ADOII Ocansey Bright, responded to the scene and found the Toyota Voxy severely crashed into the parked truck.
Firefighters conducted a rescue operation and recovered the body of a male occupant trapped inside the badly damaged vehicle. The deceased was handed over to the police for further investigation.

Eyewitnesses indicated that the Toyota Voxy was reportedly travelling at high speed when it collided with the stationary MAN Diesel truck.
“After completing the rescue operation, personnel from the fire service cleared the scene to restore normal traffic flow before returning safely to base,” the post said.
The accident has prompted renewed calls for drivers to adhere to speed limits and exercise caution on major highways.
