The Member of Parliament for Oforikrom Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr Emmanuel Kwabena Marfo, has generously donated a bunch of office items to the Oforikrom Municipal Health Directorate,
The donated items include HP printers, Office desks, Swivel Chairs, and Air Conditioners at the cost of GHc75, 192.
The donation was done by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Oforikrom, Abraham Kwame Antwi on behalf of the Dr Marfo.
The MCE noted that investing in the health sector is critical to ensuring a healthy citizenry, and this donation is in line with his commitment to promoting quality healthcare in the Oforikrom Constituency.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr Abraham Kwame Antwi reiterated the MP’S commitment to improving the standard of living of his constituents, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare.
He acknowledged the efforts of health workers in the constituency, saying they have done a great job serving the people despite the challenges they face.
The MCE called on other well-meaning individuals and organizations to support the health sector in the constituency and promised to do more to support the sector in the future.
The Oforikrom Health Director, Dr Nana Akua Afiriyie Bafana, who received the items on behalf of the directorate, expressed her gratitude to the MP for his kind gesture.
She said the donation will go a long way to enhance the work of health workers in the directorate and improve the quality of healthcare delivery in the constituency.
Dr Bafana urged other prominent individuals in the constituency to emulate the MP’s example and support the health sector in the constituency.
The Oforikrom Health Directorate serves as the primary healthcare provider in the constituency, and the donation is expected to benefit many workers and patients who rely on the directorate for medical care.
