The partner of late Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has honoured the iconic musician with a permanent tribute as the family marked the first anniversary of his passing.

Odo Broni, who was widely known as Daddy Lumba’s wife, unveiled a tattoo bearing the image of the late singer during the memorial gathering held at his East Legon residence in Accra.

The tattoo, placed on her shoulder, features a portrait of Daddy Lumba accompanied by the words “Forever in our hearts,” as a symbol of her love and continued remembrance of the celebrated highlife star.

The emotional moment formed part of activities organised to commemorate Daddy Lumba’s life and legacy, with his children, family members, friends, and industry colleagues coming together to celebrate his contribution to Ghanaian music.

Daddy Lumba, whose career spanned several decades, remains one of Ghana’s most influential highlife musicians, leaving behind a catalogue of songs that continue to resonate with generations of music lovers.

Odo Broni’s tribute has since attracted widespread attention online, with fans sharing mixed reactions over the deeply personal gesture made in honour of the late music icon.
