Former Deputy Director of Communications for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Obuobia Darko-Opoku, has been appointed as the Acting Deputy Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL).
Confirming her appointment in a Facebook post, Obuobia expressed gratitude to President John Mahama for the opportunity. She highlighted the vital role of GACL in Ghana’s economic and infrastructural development, describing it as the nation’s gateway for trade, tourism, and investment.
She pledged her commitment to supporting the President’s vision for advancing Ghana’s aviation sector and enhancing its global competitiveness.
Obuobia will be working alongside Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare, who was appointed by former President Nana Akufo-Addo. Opare’s continued tenure in office has sparked mixed reactions.
