NPP’s Chairman Buga Buga responds to claims of snatching Fancy Gadam’s wife

The Third National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Osman Masawudu, popularly known as Chairman Buga Buga, has rejected claims that he took away the former wife of Ghanaian musician Mujahid Ahmed Bello, popularly known as Fancy Gadam.

Chairman Buga Buga explained that the woman, who is now his second wife, had already ended her relationship with the “Total Cheat” hitmaker before he met and married her.

Addressing the controversy, the NPP executive said there is no dispute between him and Fancy Gadam, insisting that he did not interfere in their relationship as being alleged.

“Fancy Gadam and I do not have any problem. I met him once in a restaurant in Accra. People are accusing me of being a wife snatcher, but that is not true. I do not know whether it is a crime to propose to a woman who was previously in a relationship that has ended. They were no longer together. Even Fancy Gadam publicly stated that he was no longer with the lady,” he said.

He dismissed suggestions that he was involved with the woman while she was still with the musician, describing such claims as inaccurate.

According to Chairman Buga Buga, he only met the woman recently and, after a short period of knowing each other, decided to formalise their union through traditional and legal marriage rites.

“As a man of my status, I would not just date a woman casually. After knowing her for about two months, I married her, and she is now my second wife,” he added.

The comments follow public discussions surrounding Fancy Gadam’s separation from Queen Meela, after the musician earlier confirmed that their marriage had ended while maintaining that they remained connected because they share a child.
