NPP supporters storm EOCO Office, demand release of Miracles Aboagye

The NPP has expressed concerns over the circumstances surrounding the arrest, insisting that authorities have not provided clear information on the reasons behind his detention.
The party has also alleged that Mr Aboagye has been prevented from meeting his legal representatives since his arrest, although EOCO and the Immigration Service have not publicly responded to the claim.
The development has intensified disagreements between the opposition party and state investigative bodies, with NPP supporters demanding transparency, accountability and respect for the legal rights of the detained party official.
The issue was brought to public attention by NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, who disclosed in a Facebook post on Sunday, July 12, that Mr Aboagye had been arrested by EOCO officers with support from immigration personnel.

Mr Kodua subsequently called for his immediate release, while other leading members of the party have joined calls for EOCO to explain the basis for the arrest.
The demonstrators are demanding answers from the authorities regarding Mr Aboagye’s detention and are urging that all legal procedures be followed in handling the matter.
