Delegates taking part in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) national officers elections on October 3, 2026, will be required to undergo verification by the Electoral Commission (EC) before casting their ballots.

According to a notice issued by the party’s National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC) on Wednesday, September 30, delegates must have their names on the official delegates’ register and present at least one of three approved identification documents.

The accepted IDs are a Voter ID card, Ghana Card or NPP party card.

The committee has therefore urged all delegates to come to the voting centres with at least one of the approved identification documents to avoid delays during the verification process.

Voting will be conducted at 31 polling stations for the election of nine national officers, including the National Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser and National Communications Director.

The exercise is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m., after constitutional amendment proceedings expected to commence at 9:00 a.m.

NOEC has also directed constituency, regional and national party executives to ensure that delegates within their respective jurisdictions are adequately informed about the identification and verification requirements.

The committee further advised delegates to arrive early and allow sufficient time for verification before voting begins.
